Saahas Foundation Inclusive Resource Centre works for the empowerment of the persons with special needs and those that are categorized as underprivileged or socioeconomically marginalised.
The UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled Persons (CRPD) that came into effect on 3rd May 2008 stipulates that “disabled persons”, whatever the origin, nature and seriousness of their handicaps and disabilities, have the same fundamental rights as their fellow-citizens of the same age, which implies first and foremost the right to enjoy a decent life, as normal and full as possible.” In addition, it states that “Disabled persons are entitled to the measures designed to enable them to become as self-reliant as possible”.
The company in conjunction with the relevant sectors and associations seeks to develop, procure, deploy and implement full service, economically viable projects other than the livelihood and skill development.
